Eligibility:
All students studying in class X of a recognized school are eligible to appear for the stage I examination, conducted by the states/UTs. There is no domicile restriction mentioned by NCERT.
Students registered under Open Distance Learning (ODL) and having an age of below 18 years (1st July of the particular year) are eligible for the scholarship. However, he/she must be appearing for class Xth examination for the first time and he/she must not be employed anywhere
No Negative Marking:
As notified by NCERT, there will be NO NEGATIVE marking this year in stage II examinations.
Application Form:
Applicants can obtain an application form from the state /UI Liaison officer. On proper completion of the application form, a student must get it signed by the principal of the concerned school before the last date of submission. This last date of submission will vary from state to state, which can further be confirmed by the Liaison Officer of the respective state.
Verify the address and contact no. of Liaison Officer of the state/UTs at www.ncert.nic.in and submit the completed application form. Any queries related to the application form must be redirected to the State Liaison Officer (LOs).
Lastly, NCERT does not ask for any separate application form from any individual.
